Ghost - Skeleta
Coming off a last few years defined by an American Music Award and iHeart Radio Award-winning international #1 album, an RIAA-certified platinum single, and a massive world tour immortalized in a box office record-breaking feature film, 2025 is poised to be GHOSTâs busiest, most ambitious and outright biggest year to date. Having revealed the existence of SKELETA, the forthcoming sixth album from the GRAMMY-winning Swedish theatrical rock icons, and its insidiously melodic lead single âSatanized,â GHOST has only begun the next phase of its inevitable path to world domination. With hundreds of thousands of tickets already sold for the first leg of a worldwide arena tour featuring the bandâs first-ever headline date at Madison Square Garden, GHOST is poised to bring the most introspective and inward-focused material of the bandâs career to vivid lifeâand in suitably grandiose style: The tour supporting SKELETA will feature the debut of the newly anti-christened Papa V Perpetua, as he presides over a phantasmagoric new production that promises to elevate the live rituals that propelled the band's debut feature film RITE HERE RITE NOW to become the highest grossing hard rock cinema event in North American history. SKELETA and its accompanying tour stand to radically grow the always burgeoning, uniquely impassioned and unflaggingly loyal legions who eat, sleep and dress GHOST. From longtime devoted disciples to the curious uninitiated, all will be welcomed to find communion, salvation and escape in SKELETA and the ever-expanding world of GHOST.Â
Produced by Gene Walker and mixed by Andy Wallace and Dan Malsch, Ghostâs sixth psalm, SkeletĂĄ, is its most unflinchingly introspective work to date. Where previous albums dealt largely with chronicling and/or observing outward facing subject matter â such as Imperaâs meditations on the rise and fall of empires and its predecessor Prequelleâs evocations of the ravages of era-defining plagues â SkeletĂĄâs lyrics render the distinct individual emotional vistas of each of its 10 songs in one-on-one fashion, at times as if in a dialogue with oneself in a mirror. The end result is a singular collection of timeless, universal sentiments, all filtered through a prism of a uniquely personal point of view.
